5) creative ideas
6) logical thinking
Skillstreaming
Skillstreaming is a highly acclaimed, research-based prosocial skills training program. It employs a four-part training approach—modeling, role-playing, performance feedback, and generalization—to teach essential prosocial skills to children. Skillstreaming has been successfully implemented throughout the Pinnacle classes to teach play imitation, sharing, turn taking, dramatic and imaginative play skills, and theme-based play.
Whole Body Listening
Communication breakdowns occur for students who are not listening with their whole body. This curriculum is a foundational component of Theory of Mind and teaches strategies for “checking in” and remaining connected with partners throughout the social day. The Whole Body Listening paradigm is widely recognized on our campus and is evident in the continuous development of social confidence and sustained friendships in our Transitional kindergarten program
SuperFlex ™ and Social Thinking ™
Michelle Garcia Winner’s colorful and dynamic lessons are taught in classes throughout the day and become a “language” used to help our students to develop friendships, solve social problems, and to plan for social maturity.
Zones of Regulation
Zones is a systematic, cognitive behavioral approach used to teach self regulation by categorizing feelings and states of alertness. The Zones are color-coded states that prompt the use of strategies to help students to become more aware of their emotions and help them to manage their impulses, sensory needs, and improve their ability to solve conflicts.
