Houses
The house system is a traditional feature of schools in England. The school is divided into subunits called "houses" and each student is randomly allocated to one house at the moment of entry. In our Upper School, houses offer an opportunity for community activities, thus providing a focus for group loyalty. A secondary feature of house systems is the healthy competition through sports, debates, and community service events. Merit points for evidence of the school’s core values are awarded and one house takes the House Cup at the end of the year.
