Grades 2-6
The elementary years are the backbone of a student’s educational foundation. It is within these formative years that patterns, rules, and strategies are learned that lend to a lifetime of advancement. Our faculty is dedicated to providing a balance of formative and summative assessments to calibrate and differentiate instruction to meet our students’ diverse learning needs. The daily schedule consists of core subject areas and an intertwining of science, technology, engineering, art, and music (STEAM) to build a solid foundation for future learning.
Multi-sensory education
For many of our students, Pinnacle is their first experience with brain-based learning and a multi-sensory approach that truly taps into their learning potential. Reading and math lessons are interactive and stimulate the senses-visual, auditory, kinesthetic-tactile.
center-based learning
Small group instruction ensures that the teacher is able to provide direct instruction to 3-4 students at a time in all core subjects. An engaging, hands-on learning approach is highly effective in teaching students to self regulate and present with a focused mind in the classroom.
social life
Social life is robust in the elementary years. Students quickly establish bonds with peers who share similar interests. Extracurricular activities, outdoor sports, and weekly community circle topics provide a comprehensive, whole-student approach to social success.
